We appreciate input from Rumble Magazine readers. If you are interested in submitting stories to Rumble Magazine for consideration, please call, write, or e-mail our editorial office.

You may not be an experienced writer, but that doesn't matter. It is your experience that is important. We are looking for articles that our readers will not only find interesting but also useful. You can choose from any of the topics listed above, or suggest one that you feel strongly about. Don't worry about the length of the article. Just tell us your story with as much detail and explanation as necessary to make it clear.

Tips and Customizing

For example, if you are writing about tips or customizing, be sure to list all the necessary information for readers. This includes:

• How your tip or upgrade will help the readers
• Parts list, where readers can get them, and approximate costs
• Tools
• The steps that you followed
• Problems that you ran into and how you solved them
• Where readers can get help if they need it
• Photos to illustrate your work

Events

If you are writing about events, be sure to:

• List the type of event
• Say for whom the event is intended
• Give the correct date, time, and place
• Provide contact information (and Web sites if you have them) so that readers can find out more

Riding experiences

If you are telling readers about a riding experience, include:

• When and where you were riding
• Whom you were with
• How you prepared for the ride
• What kind of bike you were riding
• What happened before, during, and after
• What the best or worst part of the ride was
• Who the cute blond pictured on the back of your bike is - be sure to include photos

Writing your article

If you are unable to use a computer, we will accept your legibly handwritten or typewritten story. Be sure to write your name and phone number on your article.

You may wish to use a computer to prepare your article in any one of the commonly used word processing programs. No special formatting is necessary:

• Type the story
• Either indent or hit return between paragraphs
• Make sure your name and phone number is on the document
• Include a photo of yourself with your bike to go with your story

Photos

Photos almost always make a story more interesting. When you include photos, make sure to put your name and phone number on the back of prints. In your document identify:

• What the photos show
• The people and places

If you scan your photo or use a digital camera, keep the image 100% the size of the original and at least 266 dpi. Your image files can be in any of the common graphic formats (tiff, eps, etc.). If you are unsure what this means or need help, contact our editorial office at 480-836-1450.

Submitting your article

After you have typed or written your story by hand, you can mail or fax it to our editorial office (our fax number is 480-837-3192). On the other hand, if you have prepared your article on a computer and have access to the Internet, you can e-mail it to editorial@rumblemagazine.net. Your digital photos may be e-mailed as well.
